History of interim versions for CD-View 2.02
Last updated: 5/1/95

CD-View v2.02c6 - 4/4/95
------------------------

o Increases performance over previous version (2.02c) by over 5%

o Some users reported a mapping problem when users were connecting
to the CD-View server and mapping to all the CD-ROM drives. After
a number of users connected, new users would have problems mapping
drives. This version, when run in dedicated mode, allocates the
required tables in a better way and resolves this issue.

o Some users reported a problem with the CD-View server clearing
connections of some workstations after a certain amount of connect
time. We have added a new parameter to the configuration file
(CDVU.CFG) which allows you to turn this feature off. After setting
this parameter, if the server finds out that it should clear a
connection, instead of clearing it, only a warning message will be
displayed on CD-View's console screen and the connection will not be
cleared.	Only use this option, if you encounter the described problem.

Edit the configuration file, and add the following line at end:

		WDOG = NO

There should not be any character before the text, it must be in
upper case, and there must be one blank (space) character before
and after the equal sign. If after adding this line you run the
SETUP program to change setup, the newly generated configuration
file will not have this parameter line. You have to manually
   insert it again.

Installation

If you are upgrading from CD-View version 2.02c, and you did not
encounter bindery problems, please perform the upgrade to new version
procedure (using the serial number and unlock code provided with the
original 2.02c package). If you encountered bindery problems, please
perform the first time installation procedure.

If you are upgrading from a version of CD-View prior to version 2.02,
please call our customer service department to receive a new serial
number and unlock code. Then, perform the first time installation
procedure.

CD-View v2.02c7 - 4/16/95
-------------------------

This version adds the capability to turn off the internal routing of
CD-View. Some users do not require this feature and it may
not be fully compatible with their setup.

The default setup of CD-View is to turn routing on. This is achieved
by setting the External network number to the segment number and
setting the Internal number to the ethernet address used by the
Network Interface Controller of the CD-View server machine.
If this causes problems such as the server not being seen on the
network (using SLIST) after a certain amount of successful operation,
turn this feature off. To turn routing off, perform the following:

1. Take the CD-View server down

2. Change directory to the directory were CD-View is installed

3. Type SETUP, choose "Change Setup", and choose "Parameter Information"

4. At the data entry screen, change the "Internal Network Number"
to be the same value as the "External Network Number"

5. Type <Esc>, choose "Save Changed Setup", and confirm.

6. Restart server. The message seen previously notifying you about
the network numbers used is replaced by a message notifying you
that the routing feature is disabled.

To turn routing back on, just follow the same procedure above but
set the "Internal Network Number" parameter back to a unique number
not used by any other server on the network.

CD-View v2.02c8 - 4/24/95
-------------------------

In this version, the following was fixed:

1. When running in dedicated mode, typing a key on the CD-View
server's keyboard could cause the server to stop functioning.

2. RIP routing issues.

CD-View v2.02d - 5/1/95
