                           RULES & GUIDELINES

 [IIRG-NET PHILOSOPHY]

Our philosophy here on IIRG-Net is to provide a quality and easy to use
message network for the Hacker and Underground community.

 [IIRG-NET RULES]

 1. No overt flaming or baiting is allowed. While it is expected that
differences of opinion are going to be encountered, it's the manner
in which you express yourself that really matters. If you must act
like a 12 year old, use another net.

 2. English is the only language approved for use on IIRG-Net.

 3. You are required to comply with any IIRG-Net Moderator's request.
Violation of this rule may lead to suspension or termination of your
    access to IIRG-Net.

 4. Only aliases, handles or pseudonyms are allowed on IIRG-Net,
    i.e. no real names.

 5. Please limit private messages to the General conference.

 6. ANSI Art, screens, signatures and AT codes are allowed only in the
Black Pages conference, Unless you are an experienced Net Poster.

 [IIRG-NET MESSAGE GUIDELINES]

 1. Please avoid over-quoting. Quote just enough so participants
can follow the thread. Nothing is more annoying than 5 screens of quotes.

 2. Taglines should be 78 characters or less, and only one user tagline
    per message is allowed.

 3. Signatures should be kept down to 240 characters and/or 3 lines
including spaces, hyphens and other separators.

 4. At present, BBS ads may only be posted in the Black Pages conference.

 5. Never encrypt or encode a message in any way.
(Except Private Mail in the General Conference or UUencoded files)

 [IIRG-NET MODERATOR POLICIES]

IIRG-Net relies heavily on its Moderators to ensure the quality and
validity of its message base, therefore we must ensure that the
Moderators meet certain guidelines and qualifications.

 1. All IIRG-Net Moderators are appointed by the Net Administrator (N.A.)
and any application may be declined for any reason by the N.A.

 2. To apply for a Moderator's position with IIRG-Net, fill out the
IIRG_MOD.APP file and upload it to The Rune Stone BBS (Host System).

 3. The Moderator's primary duty is monitoring IIRG-Net users
and their compliance with established IIRG-Net rules and guidelines
    within their conference(s).

 4. IIRG-Net Moderators are expected to read the messages in their
conference(s) on a daily basis, and are expected to write messages
    at least once a week.

 5. Moderators should be courteous at all times to the users in his
    or her assigned conference(s).

 6. A Moderator may be removed or suspended from official duties
by the N.A. or his staff at any time, for any reason. Though it is
doubtful that an incident like this will occur, we're covering our
    collective butts. :)
