To use TESTER, put your collection of de-archiver programs (for example
PKUNZIP.EXE) in the C:\UTILITY directory, put the file(s) you
want to test in the C:\SAFEKEEP directory, and select Option 1
in the main TESTER menu. Do not forget to add ";c:\utility"
at the end of the line starting with PATH in the autoexec.bat, if
you intend to use the c:\utility to hold your de-archivers.

You can also run TESTER from a DOS Command Line using
your own directories, or customize the TESTER so option 1 in the main
menu will run with your own choice of directories.

If running the TESTER Win 95 Icon:

      1. Highlight the TESTER Icon and click the right button on
the Tester Icon, then select PROPERTIES
      2. Select the PROGRAM TAB, modify the command line only if needed
and check the Close on Exit Box
      3. Select the SCREEN TAB and select, under Usage, the Full-Screen
      4. The first time you Exit tester, Hit Ctrl-C to set your pop-up
         for Win 95.

Repeat steps 1 to 5 to set up the Virus ALERT program
         the same way.

If the ran file(s) are not infected, you will find them in the
C:\GOOD directory; if the files were infected, you will find
them in the C:\BAD directory. Full TESTER details, including
running Password protected files and other problems, are discussed
in details in the 'HELP' in the main TESTER.menu.

If you need to get de-archivers, download UTILS.EXE from our BBS
      (613)822-2159 (file area 1).
Have a nice (virus free) day!
