-------------- RELEASE NOTES REMOTE DISK VERSION 1.0 Beta ---------------------------

Last minute information

1. Problems can occur with virtual comm drivers from third party if used on the client side.
You'll probably get the best performance with the original vcd. But you CAN use another
real mode comm driver (Comm.drv= in system.ini) for example the kingcomm driver.

2. If you have a comm driver that supports 115 200 bps you have to set the speed to 300 bps!
This is the way most third party comm driver suppliers initiate 115 200 since windows does
not support this parameter. If you try to set the speed to 115 200 today, you will
   get an error message.

3. Null modem cable versus modem connection.
When the server is started it will look for a modem on the serial cable, if no modem
is found a null modem connection will be assumed.
You will also see a message on the server window "assume serial cable".
This way you don't have to change any settings on the server side to change
   from modem to serial cable.

4. Null modem speed.
You can set the speed on a null modem connection by changing the speed
   on the CLIENT side.

5. You can not drag and drop a whole directory from or to a remote disk in file manager
by dragging the directory icon , only 9 files will be copied.
If you want to copy a complete directory with more than 9 files in,
you need to mark all the files first and then drag everything to the new drive.

6. The use of "indicate expandable branches" in the file manager will reduce performance
considerably, since File Manager will transfer each and every file from the server disk.
Turn off this option while you are remotely connected.
