INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:

WMD51_1.ZIPBIN
WMD51_2.ZIPBIN
WMD51_3.ZIPBIN
WMD51_4.ZIPBIN
WMD51_5.ZIPBIN
WMD51_6.ZIPBIN

You can create diskettes in the following manner:

PKUNZIP -d <file name> <target>

It is important to use the -d option as some diskettes may contain
a directory structure.

Insert diskette 1 and run SETUP to begin installation.

USAGE NOTES:
 - 1691: Users migrating existing workstation profiles will be asked for
a PC location name during the migration process. If you do not
already have a PC location name for the workstation then you
should either obtain wone from you network administrator, or
try using APPN as the Net ID and NRxxxxxI as the CP name where
xxxxx is the PU ID for the workstation.

If you only use the TN3270, TN5250, HPO, Home3270, and coax
attachments, then the value for the PC location name is not
important, and any 1 to 8 character value can be entered for
both the Net ID and the CP name.

RESTRICTIONS:

The following functions are not available in this driver:
 - 3270 via AS/400
 - SDLC, TDLC, DFT non-SNA, and DFT PCMCIA attachments
 - HPR, DLuR
 - Shared folders
 - Greek support
 - Command line file transfer
 - 1434: Full duplex option for SNA-over-Async or SDLC attachments
 - Paging backwards through selective installation
 - DES encryption - this may be obtained via:
REQUEST HPOW95 FROM SCAMPBEL AT RALVM5
 - Manual dialing
 - 808: Remote Network drive execution with user files on local drive.
 - 623,635,638: Execution on Windows NT is not supported.
 - 1695: workstation profile migration only works for the IEEE 802.2
         attachment

The following functions are restricted in use:
 - 782: Only 5 simultaneous APPC3270 sessions should be used.
 - 1112: Modem initialization strings are only set during configuration.
If you change your modem, you need to reconfigure.

The following problems are known:
 - 1253: Stopping MS-SNA Server while running active emulator sessions
on the MS-SNA client will cause a hang.
 - 1032,1036: Slow performance on TN3270 and TN5250 attachments due to
a problem in the Telnet (TCP/IP) implementation of Windows 95.
 - 1266: Attempting to run MS-SNA Server LUA and APPC or LUA and FMI
sessions at the same time will cause a page fault in the
         MS-SNA Client code.
 - 1474: Async connection fails when connection speed is greater than
         19200 using UART 8250.
 - 1082: Page faults occur during message logging when the fixed drive
         is nearly full.
 - 1464: Node Operations does not include help for all functions
         (i.e. CNOS).
 - 1262: Modem initialization strings required for async connection
using PCMCIA are not being obtained. This problem only applies
to async connections other than HPO and HOME3270.
 - 1522: Print Screen - Cancel does not stop printing for APPC3270 via
         MS-SNA Client.
 - 619: Using File Transfer with multiple TN5250 sessions can yield
performance or incomplete file transfers on certain binary
files with embedded "FE", "FF" strings in the data. An AS/400
         PTF is being investigated.
 - 1277: When starting a 5250 session over Async, the link currently
must be started by using the Node Operations program rather
than automatically by clicking on the session icon. This
must be done before executing the AS/400 login panel.
 - 1453: If a developer uses the Windows 95 debug version with a kernel
debugger, he or she will experience a number of traps leading
         up to emulator session startup.
 - 1088: Using long running EHLLAPI applications with Home3270 and
IPX/SPX sessions will cause a system hang.
 - 1514: Starting several IPX/SPX sessions via LAN for Netware for SAA
         will cause message PCSERR999.
 - 987: Some dialogs (customized configuration, printer, control, etc)
are too big for VGA mode screen.
 - xxxx: Unnecessary "Form Settings" dialog is selectable for 5250
printer sessions. The setting on this dialog does nothing.
 - 1699: The node configuration file for an emulator session must be
set as default, otherwise an emulator will fail to connect.
 - xxxx: Stopping the node via "SNA Node Operations" while an emulator
session is active will cause a page fault.
 - 1694: The AFTP shortcut is incorrectly added in a minimal emulator
install. It should not be used.
