VECTOR.EXE


VECTOR CAD is CAD system for Windows 3.1 or better. 

This version is the demonstration version which is fully functional for the 
trial period. The Nov. 95 software expires some time in December, at which
time this version of VECTOR CAD is no longer functional.

If you choose to register your copy of VECTOR CAD, a new software security
code will be sent to you (via e-mail or fax) which enables VECTOR CAD, with 
no expiration date.

This version of VECTOR CAD can also be upgraded to 2D or 3D CAM. 
See details below.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
====================================
386 PC or better.
Microsoft Windows 3.1 or better running in enhanced mode.
4 meg RAM.

FILE DESCRIPTIONS
====================================
VECTOR1.ZIP contains the VECTOR CAD executables, DLLs, fonts, 
configuration and INI files required to run VECTOR CAD.

VECTOR2.ZIP contains the VECTOR HELP files and drawing templates. 
VECTOR2.ZIP is not essential to run VECTOR CAD.


EXTRACTING VECTOR CAD FILES 
====================================
Use PKUNZIP to extract files as follows (recommended to extract files in
directory named C:\VECTOR).

STEP 1. Start from DOS or the Windows DOS shell.
STEP 2. Create a directory named VECTOR from the ROOT directory (C:\)
	ex: from root directory (C:\)
		type:	 md vector 	<press enter>

STEP 3. Change to VECTOR directory
	type:	cd vector	<press enter>

STEP 4. Copy ZIP files to VECTOR directory and use PKUNZIP to extract files:
	type: 	pkunzip vector1	<press enter>
STEP 5: Repeat step 4 for VECTOR2.ZIP if applicable


AUTO INSTALLATION 
====================================
Auto Installation requires that VECTOR CAD be installed to the previously 
created directory named VECTOR (ex: C:\VECTOR) and that WINDOWS resides 
in the C:\WINDOWS directory.

STEP 1: From Windows PROGRAM MANAGER select FILES - RUN
STEP 2: Select and run INSTALL.EXE from the \VECTOR directory (this and 
all other files from VECTOR1.ZIP must be in this directory)
STEP 3: Reboot Windows (Exit WINDOWS, then type WIN at the C:> (DOS) prompt)
STEP 4: Double Click VECTOR CAD icon from new VECTOR CAD Program Group.

MANUAL INSTALLATION
====================================
STEP 1. Copy VECTOR.INI to WINDOWS directory 
	type:	copy vector.ini \windows\vector.ini	<press enter>

STEP 2. Start or switch to WINDOWS
STEP 3. Create a Program Group for VECTOR using FILE - NEW from the 
pull-down menu. Name the group VECTOR
STEP 4. Create a Program Item for VECTOR using FILE - NEW from the 
pull-down menu. Use the browse feature to select VECTOR.EXE from
the \VECTOR directory. Name the Item VECTOR CAD
STEP 5: Double Click VECTOR CAD icon from new VECTOR CAD Program Group.

VECTOR CAM:
===========
This version of VECTOR CAD can easily be upgraded to CAM for 2D machining,
3D projections, 4 boundry surfaces, post-processing and more.
