File: GalCiv_Fix_101d.zip AKA gcfix02.zip
Explaination:	Updates Installed GalCiv to version 1.01d
Date: 11/27/94

Details:

Now that GalCiv has gone out to thousands of users, reports have come
in about various problems on certain hardware configurations along with
genuine bugs in the software itself. This is the first public update since
the general release of GalCiv. GalCiv (Galactic Civilizations) is a
COMMERCIAL OS/2 multimedia strategy game. If you have not purchased a copy
of GalCiv already, this file will be useless. To order GalCiv, contact your
local computer store or call SDS at (313)/782-2248 or fax (313)/782-9868.

NEW FEATURES:

o	Planet Dialog now a window (much faster processing)
o	SDS/AI v1.02, one AI personality (out of 6) now enabled fully
(give users a taste of how tough we COULD make the AI if we wanted
to show no mercy! :) )
o	Events integrated into planet dialog
o	DEMO MODE where the game self plays
o	No longer a separate MMPM/2 version. Game detects which to run
	in a single .exe
o	Details view shows the name of the planet

BUG FIXES:
o	Planet Corruption in name fixed
o	Class 27 planet graphic added
o	Planet Dialog made easier to use
o	Bits of explosion left in low resolutions fixed
o	Stack overflow error from Borland Compiler fixed
o	Planets sometimes showed how much production was happening based
on TAX RATE instead of SPEND RATE is now fixed.
o	Focus on planet was not always working
o	Starmap didn't properly repaint (OS/2 Warp bug we think) in all
instances when covered by a dialog.
o	Ships would sometimes get stuck on top of planets
o	SDS/AI wasn't careful enough about letting empires collapse due to economic turmoil
o	During a new turn, going to a details view of planet doesn't get you
to wrong planet when you go back to "VIEW"
o	Cannot select "Continue" game if there is no game to continue.
o	Game disappearing for no reason fixed

KNOWN PROBLEMS:

* If you start a new game durng the middle of another, there is a small
chance that project updates will occur which will show a planet with
0 population. Completely harmless if strange.
