PVERS.EXE is a utility which displays file version information about
Windows DLLs and EXEs on both NT and pre-NT platforms.

SELECTING FILES TO VIEW VERSION RESOURCE

    PVERS Menu
Select a directory from the path menu. PVERS will present version
information for all DLLs and EXEs within the selected directory.
Note that directory selection can span both local and network drives.
Directories can contain a combination of NT and pre-nt DLLs and EXEs.

Drag And Drop from File Manager
Run PVERS and select one or more files from File Manager by dragging
them into the PVERS window. Select the contents of an entire
directory and all DLLs and EXEs will be searched. Drag and drop different
files from different drives and directories if desired.

VIEWING VERSION INFORMATION

The main window lists the DLL and EXE files in the selected directories.
Files which are currently loaded in memory will show an "L" after the
    product version.

A listing of << No Version Information >> does not mean that the file is
invalid; it means that the file was not linked by the vendor with version
information. The files prior to and including Powersoft 4.0 products do
    not contain version information.

Detailed version information about a file can be revealed by double-
clicking on the listed file. Files that are currently loaded in memory
will have a status of "IN MEMORY".

Clear the contents of the screeen by selecting the item off of the path menu.

COMMAND LINE ARGUMENTS

Supplying a directory path as a startup parameter to PVERS will cause PVERS
to search the directory and present version information for the contents of that
    directory on the initial display.

EXAMPLE

Try selecting the latest Powersoft directory or the Windows directory by supplying
as a command line argument at startup. Or execute pvers and drag selection of DLL's
out of the Windows directory, using file manager.
