--- Installation ---

Note: The windows driver can also be installed using the dos
INSTALL program. Run INSTALL from the WACOM Tablet Disk.

--- Microsoft Mouse Driver 8.2 or above ---

1) If you are replacing your Microsoft Mouse with the tablet and
get the following error message: "This version of Pointer
Options requires Mouse Driver 8.2 or later." You must remove
the driver POINTER.EXE from your WIN.INI. To do this edit the
WIN.INI using Notepad(in the accessories group) and remove the
    word 'POINTER.EXE' from the "load= " line.

2) If you are leaving your Microsoft Mouse attached, you will no
longer be able to access the extended mouse features from
within the control panels. To access the extended features of
the 9.0 mouse driver, run MOUSEMGR.EXE. (you usually have an
icon for Mouse Manager in your Mouse group)

--- Known Windows BUGS ---

1) The driver freezes while using Windows 3.11 for Workgroups, a
16550 UART controled communication port and the Microsoft PC
speaker driver with interrupts enabled. Remove the PC speaker
driver from the drivers control panel.

2) With Pen Windows Compatibility turned on, Drag and Drop will
not function in Word 6.0. Turn Pen Windows Compatibility off
    to restore Drag and Drop.

3) Factal Design products do not support relative mode. If the aspect
or active area of the tablet is changed the pen needs to touch the
tablet once so changed information can be sensed by Fractal. After
the first pen down the tablet will resond properly.

--- Problems? ---

When the Windows setup program is run your current SYSTEM.INI file
is copied to a backup file named SYSWAC.INI. In the event that after
installation, Windows 3.1 fails to start, (i.e. returns to the DOS
prompt) from your Windows directory (C:\WINDOWS) type "copy SYSWAC.INI
SYSTEM.INI". Your settings before you ran setup will be restored
and Windows should work as it did before the install. If you have
any problems with installation please refer to the trouble shooting
section in the manual page A-5
