Setup Program Messages

This file lists messages for the Microsoft Mail Setup program, SETUP.EXE, 
in alphabetical order.
  

A blank name is not valid.
   You must enter a network and postoffice name when installing Mail. You 
   must enter an administrator mailbox name and password when updating Mail.
 
  
An error occurred while creating the directory <path>.
An error occurred while creating the file <filename>.
An error occurred while reading the file <filename>.
An error occurred while renaming the file <filename>.
An error occurred while writing the file <filename>.
   These errors mean that the Setup program could not create a directory or
   read or write to a file. This indicates a disk or system problem.


Directory is not empty.
   You have entered a path to a directory that contains files. When you 
   install the mail system, the directory should be empty.


Invalid password.
   You have entered a password that is not correct or does not belong to the
   administrator mailbox name for the postoffice. Enter the password again.


Invalid serial number.
   You have attempted to install a different postoffice from the same set of 
   disks. Each postoffice requires its own serial number.


Not a valid administration level mailbox.
   You have entered a mailbox name that does not have administrator 
   privileges. Enter an administrator mailbox name.


Not enough memory.
   Setup requires a minimum of 200K of available memory. Exit the Setup 
   program and free up some memory, then run Setup again.


Only alphanumeric characters are allowed.
   You can only enter characters from a-z and numbers from 0-9.


Setup cannot find the file <filename>.
Setup cannot find the file <filename> in the directory you specified.
   The Setup program cannot locate the files it needs to install. Type the 
   full path, including the drive and directory, or exit the Setup program 
   and locate the file, then start Setup again.


Setup can't read the disk labeled <diskname>.
Setup can't read the disk in drive <drive>.
    Insert the correct disk and ensure that the drive door is closed.


Setup is incompatible with the postoffice.
   You are using a Setup program that is not compatible with the version of 
   Microsoft Mail.


Setup is trying to copy to the read-only file <path/filename> on your hard
disk.
   The Setup program has encountered a read-only file and cannot update the
   postoffice. Quit the Setup program and remove the read-only attribute, 
   then run the Setup program again. 


That is a reserved network name and may not be used.
   The network name you entered is a name that is reserved for a 
   Microsoft Mail gateway or add-on module. Enter another network name.


There is already a Microsoft Mail postoffice in this directory.
   To update the Mail system, use the Update a postoffice selection. 
   To install a new postoffice, enter a new directory name.


There is no Microsoft Mail postoffice in this directory.
   When you update the mail system, you must enter the full path to the 
   directory that contains the postoffice data files. Use the BACKSPACE key 
   to erase the path, then type the full path to the postoffice, including 
   the drive and directory.


There is not enough disk space available on the destination drive to install
all the required files.
   Setup requires 4.5 megabytes of disk space to install the server programs.
   To install both the MS-DOS and Windows clients, an additional 6 megabytes
   is required. 


You may not update a Microsoft Windows for Workgroups postoffice directly
with the Microsoft Mail Setup program.
   You need the Extensions for Microsoft Workgroups for Windows product to 
   upgrade to Microsoft Mail. Contact your local Microsoft sales office
   for more information.
