MDICDEXT is a replacement for the Microsoft CD-ROM Extensions which will
allow some DOS CD-ROM retrieval applications to work with Micro Design's
SCSI Express for NetWare 386 CD-ROM software. It is possible that
some retrieval programs will hang when the MDI Extensions are installed
as a result of the retrieval program not expecting or checking for
failure of calls to the Extensions that were failed.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

1. To install MDICDEXT enter the following:

		MDICDEXT <drive-letters>

   Example:

		MDICDEXT e:-g: p:

This installs MDICDEXT as a TSR which will emulate the Microsoft CD-ROM
Extensions and it will report drive letters E:, F:, G: and P: as CD-ROM
drives. If the MS Extensions are already installed then installation
of the MDI Extensions will fail.

2. To change the driver letters being emulated just re-enter the MDICDEXT
command as shown above with the new driver letters.	The TSR will then
report only the new drive letters as CD-ROM drives.

3. To view the drive letters that are being emulated as CD-ROM drives
enter the MDICDEXT command without any parameters.

4. To unload the MDI Extensions enter:

		MDICDEXT -u
