Welcome to the CompuServe NetLauncher, a set of applications that will
give CompuServe members full World Wide Web access in minutes!

The enclosed installation process uses the session settings previously
installed by the CompuServe Information Manager or CompuServe Navigator.
This means that the CompuServe NetLauncher will use the same User ID,
Password, Local Phone Number, Network and Modem settings as WinCIM and
CSNav, requiring no modification on your part. In addition, all billing
for your Internet usage will be handled through your existing CompuServe
account.

After installation is complete, three applications will be installed and
added to your CompuServe Program group. These are:

- The CompuServe Internet Dialer (CID) contained in NetLauncher enables
you to establish a Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP) link with the Internet
through CompuServe's network. You can start CID as a stand alone
application, or it can be invoked by another Internet application.

- Spry's Mosaic is an award winning World Wide Web browser. If CID is
not running when Mosaic is started, it will automatically start CID, wait
for a PPP session to be established, and then begin accessing the web
page that you requested.

- ImageView is a utility for viewing graphical images retrieved during
Web Browsing.

the CompuServe NetLauncher at lower than 9600 baud is not supported.

CompuServe Software Requirements

If one of the following CompuServe software packages has previously been
installed on your PC, the CompuServe NetLauncher will automatically link
to their previously established Session Settings during installation.
These packages include:

          - CompuServe Information Manager for Windows Version 1.3 (or higher)
          - CompuServe Navigator for Windows
          - CompuServe Information Manager for DOS version 2.2 (or higher)

Installing Over Existing Internet Software

If you already have Internet communications software loaded on your PC,
the CompuServe NetLauncher installation program will notify you that it
needs to rename the WINSOCK.DLL file associated with that software in
order to load its own supporting files. The installation program can
rename the existing WINSOCK.DLL file, or if you prefer, you can manually
rename it. Either way, you will need to terminate any Internet software
you are using before attempting to install the Launchpad.

Note: If you are currently accessing the Internet from a LAN connection,
you may need to consult with your LAN administrator before disabling your
Internet software.

Limitations

The CompuServe Internet Launchpad will not install or operate correctly
on machines running Windows NT. In addition, you may experience some
difficulty in installing and running under beta versions of Windows `95.
