This is notes on the System Shock fix.

Whoever did the first one was either a) lazy or b) incredibly stupid
But they fixed it. The install.exe, which is in the fix pack, works.
What it does is copy a CD image to your HD. This image is exactly what
is on the CD. Then from there you have to run the Origin install program
and that makes yet another dir on your HD. This new Dir must be different
from the dir on which your image is stored or else it won't work.
There is probably a way to save alot of space but I haven't figured it
out yet. You do need to keep the CD image once the game is installed
(you ran the install on the image dir). Also note that when the install.exe
asks for a dir to put the CD image, give it the root of whatever dir.

For ex:

1) unzip all 10 disks into a temp dir.
2) Run the install.exe located there (make sure to unzip the zzshkfix after
you unzip all 10 files.
3) say you want c:\ (or whatever drive) when the install asks you where you
want it.
4) Install will now make a CD image in c:\sshock
5) Run the install in c:\sshock (origin's install)
6) Give it a new dir name when it asks where you want it, ie c:\shockinst
or whatever.
7) I had to copy the \shock\cdrom\data dir to the new dir b/c the program
died w/o it. Otherwise once you are done installing it config your sound
and play either cdshock (the new ver. of SSHOCK) or sshock (the old ver.)
and it should run fine.

Note it seems like you dont' need a SVGA driver to play the game in high res,
but frankly I have a Tsung ET4000 with 486DX4/100 and at any res other than
320x400 the game is too slow, so you might just wanna keep the game at the
low res.

Have fun and if you need help msg me on irc.
