As we all know many major groups have been release many builds of
the reknowned Microsoft Windows 95 Betas, the latest being Build 490C.
We here at Drink or Die decided not to release every single beta build
although we had access to them before the other major groups.
Unlike the betas which are downloaded from either the Microsoft FTP,
or are ARJed up from a CD-ROM, this version is unique. It is a floppy model
version of build 490C that is the Release Candidate for the retail full
product. The betas that are released from other groups require that you have
Windows, Windows95, WindowsNT, or DOS preinstalled. This version when
used along with the boot disk can be installed to a Hard Drive which is
totally new, or in other words has no OS installed. Furthermore, this
is the format in which Microsoft will release Windows95 in August, therefore
it is very beneficial. DO NOT GET ME WRONG THIS IS NOT THE RELEASE VERSION
OF WINDOWS95!. However, due to its boot disk and the standard format
which it it be released in (15 floppy disks) we decided to install it.
For those who decided not to install Windows 95 until the final
releases was out, this maybe a good preview. Anyways the step by step
insturctions are below, please read it carefully. By the way in order to
install this release you need a 1.8MB floppy disk formatter, I believe there
were release earlier this year.

Instructions:

1. Format enough 3.5 inch disk in the appropriate method, regular or DMF.
In this case 1 (regular 1.44MB) and 14 (DMF).

2. pkunzip with -d -$

3. on the unziped BOOT DISK run the file RUNME.BET this will attribe the
files correctly.

4. boot the computer with the disk and install
