WHAT IS CONTAINED IN THIS FILE?

This file contains information that relates to the registered
version of Plug-In. This is to be used in conjunction with the
information sheet included with the master diskette.

IMPORTANT NOTE TO USERS CURRENTLY RUNNING PLUG-IN

If you are running Plug-In for Program Manager 1.x along with other
programs that "attach" themselves to Program Manager or intercept its
messages, those programs must be disabled before running the
installation program. Examples of such programs are Icon Do-It, Icon
Hear-It, and Wired for Sound, but are not limited to these. The
installation program shuts a running version of Plug-In down and will
leave these programs "orphaned", which may produce some unexpected
behavior on your system. If you are a user of this type of
application we recommend you disable them, usually by disabling your
StartUp group, and restart Windows prior to installation of Plug-In
  for Windows, Version 2.0.

USING THE CUSTOM COLLECTION OF ICONS, CURSORS AND SOUND FILES

We have included a custom collection of icons, cursors and sound
files with the master diskette. These files will be copied to your
Plug-In home directory by the installation program.

The additional icons are contained in files called ICONS.DLL and
ICONS2.DLL. When changing an item or group icon, you can access
these files by selecting "Icons & Cursors" from the Jump To list
  in the Change Icon dialog.

The additional cursors are all contained in individual .CUR files. To
access these cursors, enter the Custom Cursors dialog (accessed from
the Plug-In Control Center dialog. Then, select the "Browse" buttons
  to view the additional cursors.

  The additional cursor files are:

	3dhrglas.cur 3wood.cur 8thnote.cur 8threst.cur banana.cur
	bigarr.cur bigarrl.cur boxmove.cur cant_be.cur clipbit.cur
	dragster.cur earth2.cur fighter.cur flnthead.cur flnthit.cur

	large.cur longfngr.cur magnify.cur moon.cur paprcrsh.cur
	paprplan.cur peace.cur pen.cur periscp.cur picem.cur plugin.cur
	pointer.cur pointing.cur porpoise.cur porpwait.cur quesmark.cur

	wand.cur widget.cur widow.cur wrstwtch.cur zzz.cur zzz2.cur

The additional sound files (.WAV) can be accessed by using the
Sound Browser and selecting the Jump To labeled "Plug-In Sounds".

  The additional sound files are:

	alert1.wav
	alert2.wav
	cuckoo1.wav
	dogs1.wav
	elephnt1.wav
	flush1.wav
	machgun1.wav

	wavey1.wav

WHAT IS ROGER'S RAPID RESTART?

We have included a shareware version of Roger's Rapid Restart
on the master diskette. It is located in the file, RRR32.ZIP.

Roger's Rapid Restart gives you total control over exiting and
  restarting Windows.

In the February issue of Windows Sources, Barry Simon writes,
"Typical of programs that are exceedingly useful but too "small"
to make it at Egghead is Roger's Rapid Restart."

  It allows you to:

    - Exit Windows

    - Restart Windows without first going back to the DOS prompt

    - Exit Windows, run a DOS application, and restart Windows without
further user intervention. This is great for DOS games! And,
developers can switch between the debug and retail kernels with
      a single keystroke!

    - Exit Windows and reboot your system. This will exit Windows and
      perform a soft system reset.

A special Hotkey allows you to exit Windows instantly! You can
utilize our Rapid Restart (tm) feature to exit or restart Windows
without the delays involved when each application is asked if it is OK
to exit. This is particularly handy if you are running applications
that always ask before terminating (such as a DOS application). You
can also run Roger's Rapid Restart with passed-in parameters and have
full access to its command set.

An optional icon allows easy access to RRR's features and also allows
you to instantly exit Windows by a clicking your right mouse button
  on the icon.

The cost for registration is only $10 plus shipping/handling.
