TURBOTAX PERSONAL 1040, TRIAL EDITION 10/12/94

1. TRIAL EDITION FORMS NOT APPROVED FOR FILING

You must use the Final Edition of TurboTax to prepare
the IRS copy of your tax return. To complete your tax
return, you must purchase the Final Edition from your
software retailer or directly from Intuit. See the
enclosed Registration Card for details.

2. IMPORTING TO FORM 1099-R WORKSHEET OR SCHEDULE E

Pension income and IRA income must be reported on
different copies of the Form 1099-R Worksheet. The
Copy Number for Import is determined in Quicken when
you assign tax categories to your transactions.

Rental income and royalty income must be reported for
separate properties on Schedule E Page 1 or Schedule
E1-Extra. The Copy (Property) Number for Import is
determined in Quicken when you assign tax categories
to your transactions.

3. IMPORT - NEW VIEW BUTTON

We've added a VIEW button to the Import dialog box.
If you've used the Import command to import data from
a financial management program, the VIEW button will
display a list of the most recently imported data.
This list is identical to the list that is available
for viewing immediately after you import the data.

4. GRAPHIC PRINTING OF FORMS 1040, 1040A AND 8453

Graphic printing is not available in the Trial
Edition of TurboTax. Therefore you cannot enter an
'X' in the 'Graphic 1040/1040A/8453' option on the
Tax Return Print Settings dialog box.

5. GRAPHIC FORM - NEW PRINT POSITION OPTION

We've added two options to the Select Printer dialog
box. The VERTICAL and HORIZONTAL values determine the
starting print position on the paper when you print a
graphic Form 1040, Form 1040A or Form 8453 in the
Final Edition of TurboTax.

The default value for each option is 0.0. You can
enter a value from -0.5 to 0.5. This means you can
move the starting print position of the graphic form
up to 1/2 inch in any direction (up, down, left or
right) if that's necessary to meet the IRS margin
requirements that are discussed in Chapter 4 of the
User Manual.

6. SNOW FLAG OPTION REMOVED

The 'Snow flag' option that is mentioned on page 28
of the User Manual has been removed from the Monitor
Options dialog box because the program takes care of
that factor automatically.
