PRODUCT OVERVIEW

* As part of Maxtor's growing family of PCMCIA mobile storage products,
  MobileMax FLASH Memory Cards provide reliable, high-capacity solid state
  mass storage that is both removable and transportable. Available in
  capacities ranging from 1.5 to 19.5 MBytes, MobileMax Cards allow users 
  to customize their computer systems to best fit data storage needs. Fully
  conforming to the PCMCIA 2.10 protocol, Maxtor's FLASH Memory Cards comply
  with the industry standard. Packaged in a type I form factor, these credit
  card sized devices bring fast access storage to mobile computers.

* Unlike S-RAM cards, MobileMax FLASH memory Card products have the advantage
  of requiring no batteries for the retention of data. This eliminates the
  risk of losing valuable data while changing batteries or if batteries fail.
  Operating on a single 5 Volt power supply, MobileMax cards help extend
  battery life through minimal power consumption.

* MobileMax FLASH Memory Cards the unique True FLASH Filing System (True FFS)
  that provides benefits not found in other cards. Occupying only 22 KBytes
  of system memory, up to eight times less than other FLASH File Systems,
  True FFS provides full DOS and Windows compatibility. True FFS performs
  in all internal housekeeping, keeping track of free, writeable regions,
  and reassigning regions that need to be rewritten. Designed as a direct
  addressing scheme, MobileMax FLASH Memory Cards have an extremely fast
  access time and can be read at 1.8 MBytes per second and faster- with
  higher performance machines, such as 486 based computers.
