IBM 2.3G Tape Drive

In order for Sytos Plus to access this backup device, the
following two lines must appear in CONFIG.SYS:

          DEVICE=C:\OS2\SCSI.SYS /N:4
          REM DEVICE=[drive:]\[path]\SYFILES\IBM_2_3G.SYS

You must remove the REM (if it exists) from the second line.
Make sure that these two lines are in the order shown.

Note that [drive:]\[path] represents the drive and directory
where the Sytos Plus files were installed and should already
be displayed within these statements.

Also note that SCSI.SYS is the name of the IBM SCSI Device
Driver. To ensure that the DEVICE=C:\OS2\SCSI.SYS /N:4
statement appears in your CONFIG.SYS file, complete the
following steps:

     1. If you received a diskette labelled "OS/2 Device
	   Drivers for IBM SCSI Adapters", insert it into
	   Drive A.
	   If you have not received that diskette, insert
	   your copy of the Sytos Plus Install Diskette into
 	   Drive A.
     2. Type the OS/2 command DDINSTAL at the prompt.
     3. Select the IBM SCSI Device Driver. Highlight the
        name of the device and press the Spacebar. Then,
        press Enter.
     4. Check your CONFIG.SYS file to make sure that the
        following line appears before all other DEVICE=
        lines added by Sytos Plus:

          DEVICE=C:\OS2\SCSI.SYS /N:4

        If the line does not appear first, edit CONFIG.SYS
        and add the line under the general device driver
        section.
     5. Reboot your system.

If you receive a "Backup Device Not Responding" message
when adding this device, you will need to check the backup
device settings again after modifying CONFIG.SYS and
rebooting your system to be sure that the device is set up
correctly. To do so, run Sytos Plus after you reboot and
then choose "Utilities: Backup device setup." Verify that
the settings are correct.
