MediaChips Audio Device Driver for Windows

Release note:
=============

This is rel. 1.0 of MediaChips's device driver for Microsoft Windows.
Use the control panel to install these drivers. You have to remove any sound 
driver in the Control Panel before installing the MediaChips' device driver.

The installation sequence is as follow:
1. Go to Control Panel in the Main Group of Program Mamager.
2. Select "Drivers" in the Control Panel.
3. Click on "Add" button in the Driver Dialog Box.
4. Select "Unlisted or Update Driver" and press "OK" button.
5. Insert this installation disk into drive A and click "OK" button.
6. Select "MediaChips Audio Device Driver" and click "OK" button.
7. Select "New" to replace the MediaChips driver in your system, if you have one.
8. A setup dialog box pops up to allow you to configure the sound card. Please
   refer to the note below for some important information that you need to
   know.
9. Repeat steps 1 to 8 to install "MediaChips MIDI Synthesizer Driver".
10. Reboot the system after setting up the sound card.

IMPORTANT NOTE: 
===============

1. Features include:      
        Record & playback wave file using AD1848/CS4231.
        Record & playback MIDI file using MIDI port.
        Playback using Yamaha OPL3.

2. MAD16 has to be set to INT 7 or INT 11 if MIDI port & AD1848 / CS4231 are 
   used at the same time. This will be fixed in the future release.

3. Have to install both "MediaChips Audio Device Driver" & "MediaChips MIDI
   Synthesizer Driver". Otherwise, Microsoft's application will not work.
