The USERKDTS directory on your program diskette contains
bonus user-contributed definitions for even more programs.

An expanding family of optional PowerPaks are also available.
Each PowerPak consists of its own preprogrammed KDTs, a
corresponding template, and a reference manual. PowerPaks are
currently available for AutoCAD and Ventura Publisher. These

 POWER MACRO RECORD TONES:

The [RECORD] feature (Fn + RMOUSE) now beeps a high pitched tone
when a key is selected and recording begins. A low pitched tone
confirms the end of recoding. To change your mind about defining
a key, simply press [RECORD] (Fn + RMOUSE) again before any other
keys and the previous definition will remain.

GENERATING NUMERIC KEYPAD AND OTHER SPECIAL KEYS:

Some programs differentiate between the grey +, -, and Enter
keys on the numeric keypad and the lighter main keyboard keys.
To generate special keys on U. S. keyboards, use these codes:

GREY KEY SCAN/CHAR CODE for U.S.

   Keypad + [$4E2B]
   Keypad - [$4A2D]
   Keypad Enter [$E00D]
   Keypad * [$372A]
   Keypad / [$E02F]

   Left Shift [$2A]
   Right Shift [$36]
   Left Ctrl [$1D]
   Right Ctrl [$E0][$1D]
   Left Alt [$38]
   Right Alt [$E0][$38]

   Print Screen [$E0][$2A][$E0][$37]
   Ctrl-Print Screen [$E0][$37]
   System Request [$54]
   Scroll Lock [$46]
   Pause [$E1][$1D][$45]
   Ctrl-Break [$E0][$46]

[$sscc] sends hex scan code ss with character code cc.
(These hexadecimal codes are redisplayed as [#Decimal code].)
Complete tables of scan codes can be found in the IBM PC
Technical Reference manual and many other PC reference books.

                    TROUBLE SHOOTING GUIDE
 ***************************************************************

(This section only addresses questions not covered in your
 User Manual.)

Problem: A mouse cursor doesn't appear in my application.

Try \PROHANCE\POWER MOUSE to emulate a mouse.

If you have installed Windows in a directory other than
     C:\WINDOWS, type INSTALL [Drive:]\WindowsDirectoryName.

Problem: The keys don't work in my application:

Try POWER /Keys to change the way keys are sent to your
application. If that doesn't work, try POWER /K1,
    POWER /K14, POWER /K15, or POWER /K18.

Problem: I want the mouse to move my "underline" or spreadsheet
cell cursor, not the mouse arrow (or rectangle) cursor.

Try POWER /Force to force non-mouse mode when you are already
familiar with using a program from the keyboard and you don't
want to learn to use the second (mouse) cursor arrow.

Problem: I get occasional "clicks", stuck keys, or lose control
of the cursor while running Windows or other applications.

Try POWER /B to use a slower mouse baud rate for applications
such as Windows which lose characters at 4800 baud. If /B (1200
baud) helps, try also POWER /B2400 for better performance.

Try WIN /S or WIN /R for faster Windows performance.

Try putting STACKS=12,128 in your CONFIG.SYS file as recommended
on page 518 of your Windows manual. If that doesn't help, try
   STACKS=9,256  or  STACKS=12,256  or  STACKS=0,0.

Try POWER /W to make a copy of POWER in each Windows virtual
   machine.

Problem: Another COM port is disrupted by mouse auto-configuration:

Use POWER /COMn to specify that mouse is on COM port n

                       PROHANCE PRODUCTS
 ***************************************************************

ProHance provides a complete family of input devices ranging from
the conventional to the powerful, including the 2, 3, 12, 17 and
40 button high performance mice and trackballs listed below:

CHOOSE THE FUTURE ... CHOOSE PROHANCE

The PROHANCE (tm) SERIAL MOUSE is a high quality, solidly built
mouse that looks sharp and feels great. It features 50-800 DPI
with dynamic control and 100% compatibility with both the
Microsoft 2-button mouse and the PC Mouse 3-button mouse. Bus
version also available. Backed with ProHance service and support.

The PROHANCE (tm) SERIAL TRACKBALL is a high quality, well-
designed trackball whose solid construction is evident when
compared to other devices. The thumb-controlled ball allows your
hand to rest comfortably, yet control both the ball and buttons
without shifting position. The retaining ring makes it easy to
clean the ball and rollers for long, reliable product life.
It is compatible with both 2-button Microsoft and 3-button
PC Mouse devices. PS/2 version also available. Backed with
 ProHance service and support.

The PROMOUSE (tm) is a quality 2-button mouse plus 10 more time-
saving buttons at your fingertips: Esc, Enter, PgUp, PgDn, Home,
End, Ins, Del, Backspace, and Fn (for F1-F10). The extra buttons
cut the time and concentration lost moving back and forth to the
keyboard and scroll bars. Performance is outstanding at 20-5000
DPI and 400 reports/second (10X faster than most mice) for smoother,
more precise cursor control. It works with virtually all DOS, GEM,
and Windows programs, and provides mouse support to non-mouse
programs automatically -- no other drivers required.

POWERMOUSE/50 (tm) is a ProMouse with macro programmable buttons.
This increased capability allows commands to be performed
quickly, easily, and accurately by simply pointing and pressing a
labeled button -- without having to learn, remember, and type a lot
of non-intuitive keystrokes, or waste time mousing through menus.
Pointing and dragging are integrated in macros for true point and
shoot control. Each unit comes with over 40 ready-to-go key
 definition tables, a full-featured macro program (a $99.95
 value), and drop-in templates.

 POWERMOUSE/70 (tm) is a 17-button version of the PowerMouse/50.
The five extra buttons include two shift keys that triple the
available functions, greatly expanding its capabilities. It's compact
and economical, yet provides an unbelievable number of features.
PowerMouse/50, /70, /100 and PowerTrack share the same software
and key definition tables for complete compatibility and
 interchangeability.

POWERMOUSE/100 (tm) is our top of the line, 40-button model,
designed for those who use their computers extensively. The
extra buttons can be used as a full arithmetic keypad and for
many more macro commands. Snap covers are included to relabel
 the bottom 12 buttons.

POWERTRACK/100 (tm) provides all the benefits of the
PowerMouse/100 in a trackball format which can be used on a table
or lap. 100% compatible with all versions of the PowerMouse,
programmed functions can be shared. PowerTrack is designed for
laptop computer users, those who want to save desk space, and
those who prefer trackballs. It is also excellent for controlling
graphic presentations from a podium and other remote applications.
