Power Tools Help (For version 1.80)


Starting

Power Tools v1.80 Require about 472 Kb of free Conventional Memory, 
475 Kb is highly recommended for the Dos Shell command. Power Tools
V1.80 has highly increase his speed over the version 1.72, now the
.EXE use Overlays in memory and also using Disk Swap. These Disk
Swap are deleted each time you left Power Tools. If the Program hang
during a Power Tools Session, you can delete the *.###.

To enter the Power Tools environnement enter PWT at you DOS prompt 
(You should add the line PATH C:\PWT in your autoexec.bat or Power
Tools won't work properly). You also need 7 Megabytes of free disk 
space

F = Format a disk
PK = Pkunzip
P = Print a document
DS = Dos Shell
DFR = Defrag
V = Image viewer
AL = Converting all images
GE = GIF to EXE 
ED = EDIT
QB = Qbasic
AU = Autoexec.bat Editor
C = Config.sys Editor
_D = Diz Editor
% = Date
$ = Time 
G = Help 
DT = Deltree 
D = Delete
T = HD Tree
ARC = Archive viewer
F = Search File
M = Music Player
ME = Music Editor
L = Pklite a file
U = Uncompress a file compressed with a Executable compressor
_F = View a .FLI or .FLC (FLICS)
BG = Batch Generator  v1.1 (c) 1994
/ = DOS SHELL

After have entered one of these choice press Enter to confirm your choice.
If you enter a wrong Selection press  Enter  and you'll have a redrawn 
screen.

Help


Quit: To quit Power Tools program.

Format a disk: To Format a diskette or a hard disk.

Pkunzip: To unpack zipped files.

Print: Print a document on paper.

Dosshell: Enter the DOSSHELL DOS program.

Defrag: To enter defrag.

Image viewer: To view an Image (Format PCX or GIF....can be converted to 
                                these format).

Converting all images: To convert an image to any kind of other images.

GIF to EXE: To transform a .GIF into a .EXE.

Edit: To enter MS Editor.

Qbasic: To enter MS QBasic.

Edit Autoexec.bat: to edit your Autoexec.bat with MS Editor.

Edit Config.sys: to edit your Config.sys with MS Editor.

Diz editor: To Edit .DIZ file (.DIZ are the descriptions uses for a .ZIP).

Date: To see the date.

Time: To see what time is it.

Help: To see this HELP file.

Deltree: To delete a directory and it subdirectory that it contains.

Delete: to delete a file.

Tree: To see the tree of your HD.

DOS SHELL: Shell to DOS.

Search file: Locate any file on your HD.

Archive viewer: View the files inside an archive.

Music Player: This command will shell you to Dual Module player
              (It's a very good player for Sound blaster module)
              Format supported: S3M,STM,MOD,MTM.......

Music Editor: This command will bring you into a program called 
              Scream Tracker (v3) this is the best Module editor.

Pklite a file: Make some executable smaller with a progrm called Pklite

Uncompress: Uncompress file compressed with program like Pklite, Diet....

View a .FLI or .FLC: View animation files create by Autodesk.

BatchGen: Create Useful Batch file (this is the v1.1) from Power Tools.
