               COMMODORE INTERNATIONAL LIMITED TO LIQUIDATE

NEW YORK, April 29 /PRNewswire/ -- Commodore International Limited (NYSE:
CBU) announced today that its Board Of Directors has authorized the
transfer of its assets to trustees for the benefit of its creditors and
has placed its major subsidiary, Commodore Electronics Limited, into
voluntary liquidation. This is the initial phase of an orderly liquidation
of both companies, which are incorporated in the Bahamas, by the Bahamas
Supreme Court.

CONTACT: Hock Tan, CFO of Commodore International Limited, 215-431-9160/

Hey dudes, the party does not end simply with the death of Commodore !

The party now ends for anyone who had any Commodore product still
under warranty. Guess what dudes - your out of shit luck ! You
no longer have any warranty from Commodore ! And you think your
friendly local dealer is going to help you - think again dudes, the
only reason local dealers use to service Amiga's was cuz they could
invoice Commodore for the warranty work - No Commodore - no invoicing

But wait - the picture gets even bleaker still. Guess what happens
when you need a part to keep your beloved Amiga still working - yup
again your shit out of luck - Commodore was busy as a squirrel selling
off ( liquidating ) all their inventory just prior to the collapse of
the company. Ha hahahahha you probably could not get a power or a
decal from anywhere... your out of shit luck when your Amiga dies !

And what about those dreamers who keep thinking that some super rich
company is going to come along and save the Amiga from oblivion -
wrongo again dumbos ! This is a case of terminal death ! CBM has
died and they were not kind enough to warn you that they were about
to leave you up shit creek without a paddle.

Now let us talk about the CD32. Hhahahahahha. It's toast !

Now let us talk about the Commodore PC computers. They are toast !

Now let us talk about Amiga computer magazines ! They have been toast
for the last 12 months ! Where are your fucking eyes ! Have you not
noticed the issues getting smaller and smaller. Did you not notice
how many of them went from glued bindings to staples in the middle ?
Sort of reminds me of the Commodore 64 magazines that once crammed
the magazine stands. Kiss your subscription money good bye cuz most
of those magazines are going to shut down faster than you can shake
your joystick !! And those Amiga 'disk magazines' are also toast !

Now let us talk about the future of Amiga software. I assume there
will be the same talented losers still producing public domain shit
for the Amiga. These are the type of folks who learned how to program
on the Amiga and never broadened their knowledge to apply it to programming
on the PC and MAC platforms. So count your blessings Amigoids - you will
have a dwindling supply of public domain software for about another 3 years
( if the C64 history can be a guiding light to what will happen ).

As for the real software houses that produce commercial titles for the
Amiga, well, kiss em goodbye. Nothing sends the rats running for cover
faster than the failure of a company or product line. As you know, or
should know if you were not totally blind to what has been happening in
the Amiga world, there has not been any commercial software produced in
the United States for about 3 years now. Almost every title you see in
the stores was produced in Europe or Austrailia. The lazy bastard
American companies simply became licensing agents for these European
software houses and totally gave up on trying to write code for the Amiga.

Well, the future of European produced Amiga commercial titles also looks
pretty bleak. Let us face a fact - there are no more Amiga's being
produced. So at this point all the software houses now know the maximum
number of potential Amiga's for which they can attempt to sell software
products to. Obviously as the months roll by this maximum number will
decrease and decrease as most Amiga owners will eventually abandon the
Amiga and go the route of the IBM PC type computer. So be realistic,
would you commit all your manpower to building software for a dying
and limited computer group, or would you re-targeted your staff to start
producing titles for the IBM PC type computers - a market that will be
increasing in numbers with the addition of Amiga defectors to the IBM world.

So what about new whiz bang peripherals for the Amiga. Not fucking likely.

So what's an Amigoid to do - buy up some used systems if you intend to keep
hammering around on your Amiga. You are going to need a source of used
parts for when your trusty Ami starts failing or acting up. Also, begin
to treat your Amiga like it is the last Amiga in the world - cuz you will
not be able to simply go to your local dealer anymore to get quick fixes
    and parts when it dies.

And once you wake up from your Commodore induced brain damage, we will be
all waiting for you to bring your talents over to the IBM PC ! It may
not be as cool a computer as the Amiga - but at least we are assured of
longevity and tons of spare parts for the next ten years. We also are
assured of tons of new releases every day - and the odds are that this
is going to be growing and growing as more software houses dedicate their
entire programming efforts to supporting just the IBM computer platform.

To help you dudes out to make the change over to the IBM world, please let
me give you a brief explanation of what to buy so that you do not get
fucked by all the crooks and weasles that operate in the IBM market.

You will want to have at minimum :

486 INTEL 33 DX cpu. You don't want an SLC, SX or anything else !
If you have the bucks go for a 66/DX2

4 megs of RAM You don't want anything less. If you have
the bucks go for 16 megs of ram at time of purchase

A 3.5 high density disk drive
You don't need the 5.25 disk drive. Almost no one
in the world uses them anymore !

A SVGA color monitor You don't want a VGA at this point.

    128k cache on the motherboard
If you have the money go for 256k cache but it
really does not not matter much in the way of
                            performance gains.

200 megs of hard drive You don't want anything less for your initial
system. If you can spring for 340 megs than you
will be doing even better. Preferably you will
get a hard drive with at least 12ms or less access

Mouse Who gives a fuck - they are almost all the same

Operating systems Here you have three choices :

DOS 6.2 - bare bones, command line operating system
with a limited future - could be phased out within
                            the next three years

WINDOWS - an Amiga like graphical interface that
presently is installed in the majority of computers.
Best Choice --- > Does a lame imitation of multitasking by time
                            slicing (sharing) between programs. Presently
enjoys the majority support of most software
                            publishing companies !

OS/2 - another Amiga like graphical interface
presently installed in a minority of computers.
Does a good imitation of multitasking but lacks
the support of most software publishers !!!

SOUND BLASTER PRO The IBM does not come equipped to play music to
the level of quality of a stock Amiga. So the
only way you will get top quality sound is with
the Sound Blaster Pro. There are hundreds of
other sound cards out there, but none enjoy the
absolute support of all the software publishers
as this product does. If you get a game the odds
are 99% that it will be Sound Blaster compatible.

CD Rom drives At this point the price on CD Rom drives have
dropped and the software is out there to support
it. At this time do not settle for anything less
than a 'Double Speed' CD Rom drive. If you have
the extra bucks, spring for a 'Triple Speed' model

SCSI Interface If you want to make your IBM SCSI capable, than
you should buy the Adaptec 1540 or 1542 SCSI
interface card. It is the easiest and simplest
of all the SCSI cards for the PC. It also has
the best price and highest performance !

Keyboards 101 AT enhanced keyboard. They are almost all
identical and the only difference is in their
construction. Slap away at the keyboard for a
while and see if that particular one suits your
personal preferences. Some are mushy, some are
firm, some are totally useless. Only your fingers
will be able to lead you to the right one.

That is a quick briefing on what you should be looking for as you prepare
to jump from the Amiga world over to the IBM world. I hope this info will
help you from getting ripped off by lamers who might try to sell you a
    286, or a used 386 SX 25, or a fucked up and lame 486 33 SLC !!!!!!

Welcome to the world of IBM... where many of your pirating brothers have
been waiting for your arrival for the last five years. God bless the
Amiga - now let us lay the damn thing down to rest and get down to the
serious business of spreading real warez that are worth real money !
