Simpact Remark! PhoneClient V2.0 for Lotus Notes README.TXT
file

For instructions on installation and maintenance of Remark!
PhoneClient for Lotus Notes, please refer to your Remark!
PhoneClient User's Guide. This file contains notes on use
of the software that aren't included in the User's Guide.

1. Using the Novell Netware NETBIOS driver running native
on OS/2 2.1, PhoneClient may periodically receive
"SESSION_ABEND_XPORT_ERR" errors. These errors terminate
the connection between PhoneClient and the voice server,
thus ending any Phone Notes application that was running.
To avoid this situation, it is suggested that in the OS/2
2.1 operating environment, the Novell network drivers are
loaded on top of IBM ODI drivers at system startup. Use of
the local transport, as suggested in the User's Guide will
elimnate this problem.

2. When using Remark! PhoneClient with a Remark! voice
server with the Text-to-Speech option installed, the
numeric dates are not translated properlay in all cases.
For example, items such as "2/11/94-2/13/94" or
"1994/22/02" may in some cases be either partially
translated or ignored. A solution to this problem is being
investigated.

3. Remark! PhoneClient does not execute the ";" operator
(wait for dial tone) in the Dial command properly. When
encountered in an executing Phone Notes application, the
"Branch On Completion" path will always be taken, without
regard to the actual line state.

4. Phone Notes applications that do not make use of the
"Dial" and "Wait For Call" commands will not be allocated a
physical line by the voice server when executed. This
allows for better utilization of physical line resources.
A PhoneClient license is required for applications of this
type.

6. For each concurrent instance of PhoneClient that is to
be executed on the OS/2 system, ensure that a unique
directory of executable files exists. Attempting to
execute multiple instances of PhoneClient from the same
physical file directory will lead to unpredictable results.
See the PhoneClient User's Guide for more information about
this.
