1. Edit the AUTOEXEC.NCF file to load the following NLMs.

   >> Add the following command:

      load BTRIEVE -U=1 -P=4096 -F=20 -H=60 -L=20 -C
   
   >> Load SPXFIX2 if you are loading NCS. 
   
   >> Load and bind APPLETLK.NLM if you are loading ARAS.

   >> Load the AIO drivers.

   >> If you are using NetWare Runtime, add the following commands:
  
      load NLICLEAR [notify] [poll=<number>]
      set reply to get nearest server=off
    
2. Bring down the server and bring it back up so that all NLMs specified above
   are loaded.

3. Load NWCCON to configure NetWare Connect ports.

4. To start running NetWare Connect, enter "NWCSTART" at the NetWare system
   console prompt(:).

5. To stop NetWare Connect from running, you must first exit NWCCON and 
   then enter "NWCSTOP".

Note: If you want to modify the NWCSTART.NCF or NWCSTOP.NCF files, then
      enter "LOAD NWCNCF" at the system console prompt. For example, you
      would load NWCNCF to select a service for loading.
