1. Using Creating Windows Help
------------------------------

Creating Windows Help is a free-standing Windows 3.1 Help
system that teaches you how to create a Windows 3.1 Help
system. Creating Windows Help provides examples, reference,
and tutorial material for all levels of users. If
you've never created a Windows Help system, or if you want
to learn new techniques, refer to Creating Windows Help.

To open Creating Windows Help, double-click its icon in the
Windows Help Compiler group.

2. Using the Help Compiler
--------------------------

The Windows Help Compilers are programs that turn your
source .RTF and graphics files into a binary data file that
can be read by WINHELP.EXE.

The Windows Help Compilers (HC31.EXE and HCP.EXE) are located in the
\WINHELP directory (if you accepted the default installation
choice). They do not appear as icons in your Windows Help
Compiler group.

For more information on creating and compiling Windows Help,
see Creating Windows Help. Within Creating Windows Help,
click Search and type "compiling" or "compiler" in the
Search dialog box, then click Show Topics to find topics
that describe the Windows Help Compiler.
