I've decided to leave Pentagram.

Now since some of you might wonder why a Senior Staff member would leave
a group he helped form. I'll explain.

There is a fundemental view that is not shared by me & one of the other
Sr. Staff members, Bandieto.

For example.

On SimCity 2000, razor's version was out first. Bandieto decided to
release a PTG version late & try to out spread them. This had worked
before since PTG has some dedicated spreaders. Razor beat us. Bandieto
nuked the Razor version and posted something about problems with it.
Leaving the PTG version online. Problems with an unprotected game? I
tested the razor version, it was fine. I put it back online. And I
deleted Bandieto's message about the game. Bandieto called and told
me to edit my file listing to show that PTG had been first. I said I
couldn't play that game. I called YoungBlood (the 3rd Sr. Staff member)
and he agreed with me. But Bandieto didn't care. Then I asked if he
would go along with a group (All members) vote. And he said what they
thought didn't matter. He said "all that matters is releases no matter
how they happen, go along or I'll try to move the whq." Remember this
if you bother to UL to a PTG bbs. If PTG bothers to release a late
version, it will cost you your credits.

This is only part of the problem. For over past month, nearly all of our
sites had gotten no support. Ask the sysops. I called several times to
get input/help in working this out. And was only told that he didn't
care about the sites or boards. YoungBlood has just started a new job
and is (for now at least) out of the scene. That left it to me &
\X/erner & Tardy (the euro courier co-ordinator) to work out the mess.

I tried quite hard for over a month to get this worked out.

Pentagram still has quite a few quality members left. I'm sure they'll
continue to release. But I don't want to be part of a group when honor
and loyalty mean less then being able to 'stories' about releases.
