There are 5 levels  of difficulty available to you. The design level is level
2. By that I mean that  there is no  advantage or disadvantage  either to you
or the computer managers in the game. Level 1 gives the computer  managers an
advantage of  about 0.8  of a goal a  match. Level 3 will give  you the same.
Level 4 gives you about 1.6 goals and level 5 about 2.4. If you've played our
games before choose the  level you're used  to otherwise try  level 3. If you
finish above 10th in the league in the first season move up a level.
     There are 3 levels of sophistication in the game. This is really to give
youngsters a better  chance to succeed in  the game. This affects  the degree
of depth to  which a player is defined. At the first  level of sophistication
players  are  just defenders or  midfielders or attackers. You  needn't worry
about the  different skills a players has or his preferred position. The game
will not  punish a bad  skill balance  or your playing  players out  of their
normal position.
     If you're over 12 or  you've played our games before  you should play at
sophistication level 3. If you don't do so then many of the features that put
this game above all  the others are lost. It's  still an enjoyable  game but
the challenge is very much reduced.
