TUBIS is a game similar to
well-known "TETRIS" by Alexey
Pajitnov, but pretends to more
complexity and variety of game
situations.
   The basic game element is
a tube - so the name is TUBIS.
The tube is a source of shaped
colored figures continuously
sliding down to you from it.
The tube is built of gray
blocks - 48 blocks in a ring.
Totally the tube has 16
rings. The rings are divided
into six arches (of 8 blocks
each) and each arch has its
own color, defined by the
color of the corresponding
arch on a colored ring of the
tube wall.
   The figures are sliding
down the tube wall one after
another stopping where they
can not continue sliding. This
situation may arise at the
last ring (top of the tube) or
when the sliding figure is
stopped by previously stopped
figure, as they can not merge
one another. You have no
possibility to stop the
sliding figure or to reverse
it back to the tube, but it is
possible to rotate it or to
move it clockwise or
counterclockwise along the
ring.
   Game terminates when next
sliding figure can not appear
completely on the inner wall
of the tube.
It is clear that if you
would not control sliding
figures effectively enough,
they fill the entire tube too
soon and the game will
terminate. You must control
the sliding figures to make
them fill completely the arch
after arch or the ring after
ring on a tube wall without
empty places.
   For example, if you have
filled completely any ring in
the tube, it will disappear,
and all figures and their
portions laying upon this ring
layer will move closer to you
by one row. It would bring you
many bonus points, and you
will get additional free space
for you to manoeuvre with your
figures falling down the tube
wall.
Note, that the rings may be
filled with the portions of
figures of any color.
   Arches unlike the rings
must be filled with figures of
one definite color - the color
of the last ring arch in the
tube. The arch filled with 8
or more figure portions of one
definite color disappears from
the tube wall only when all 8
basic elements of the arc are
filled up. In this case all
figure portions laying above
disappearing arch are moved up
to you by one row.
   To rotate shaped figures
you may use Arrow-Up key, and
to move figure along a ring -
Arrow-Left (clockwise) or
Arrow-Right (counterclockwise)
keys.
   If you have positioned the
figure in the tube as you need
and wish to speed up its
sliding to you (drop it), you
may press Arrow-Down key, and
the figure will instantly fall
down. Instead, you may use
Spacebar to drop figures. You
may move the dropped figure
once along the tube wall by
pressing some figure-move key
to slide it to specified
direction, should it be
possible.
   To learn all the control
keys instantly is a very hard
task, so don't plan to reach
high score playing your first
games. We hope you would not
experience any difficulties
playing TUBIS and will have a
lot of joy with it.
Any time you can change the
speed of sliding figures using
F3 and F4 keys. The higher
speed you are playing at, the
more points will you get.
   To pause game use Escape
key. To continue game when
paused you can press any key
with no effects on game
situation.
   To control sound effects
use F2 key.
Any time you can exit game
with F10 key.
   Points are scored for:
   - each figure appeared
   - each slide-step for
     dropped figure
   - completed arcs and rings.
If you are playing too good
the complexity level is
automatically increased: the
appearing figures are more
complex and speed is higher.
   Attaining higher game level
scores you'll see some visual
surprises and at last (at 9th
level) you can get
Congratulations Order and game
would switch to Experienced
Tubiser Masterchief Level.
