Cedar Swamp is a ficticious course set in northern Minnesota. It
is set in the fall season, when the Geese are getting edgy and thinking
about the trip south.I visualize early to mid October.
The course itself plays average to hard.On a scale of 1 to 10,with
1 being easy, I think it plays around a 6.There are some hard holes,
and some hard greens, but there are many birdie opportunities. There is
lots of water, moderate amount of sand, and lots and lots of trees. I
tried to design "accuracy being rewarded"into the course. Also the
course was designed to be played from the Championship tees.I didn't
playtest it from any other.I always figured a woman's finger on the
keyboard is as strong as a man's.Also it should be played in
"Advance" mode.
Since I don't have DPII,and all the other goodies for designing,I
hope to rectify that in the near future,I borrowed or stole
background and objects from my heroes the great designers.I now
wish to thank them.Ritze,Willet,GRIII,Conrad,Chesney,Maiden,
and anybody I may have missed.I also want to thank John Cunyik for the
tools and pallette editor that he designed. It is great!!!
I also took the pallette from Scott Chesney's Shattuck and did some
modification.Especially the water.If you don't like my pallette,get
Cunyik's editor and make it the way you like it.
I would appreciate comments on the course.Preferrabily the good
ones, but I'll take the bad ones too<G>.I'm on Prodigy .
