To load the game Rally Poker, you do not have to create any sub directories, just lump it all into one place and type 'RUNME'. (you can't possibly fuck that up..) This Japanese import is a card/strategy game presented in both English or Japanese. (You choose at the start up menu.) After you choose the language you are then presented with 10 different characters. (All taken from popular japanese comics.) From these charcters you have to now pick who you will play and who your rivals are. There are no difference in the characters playing level, just what the character looks like. Once you've made this decision, you have yet another choice to make. The last one before you start the card game. What your score multiplier will be. This is simple really, you have the choice to multiply your card game score by: 10 20 30 40 or 50. Each charcter starts with 1000 dollars. You move up a level at 5000 dollars. Say you win the game and get 30 dollars. You will have 1500 dollars added on giving you a grand total of 2500 dollars and 2500 dollars away from moving up to round 2. BE WARNED - the same rule applies if you lose. If you've lost the game (say, by the same 30 dollars) then you've lost ALL your money and your game is over. (You get to choose a new character and rivals) Ofcourse, if you only lose 700 dollars (after the multiplier...) then you still have 300 and a chance to win back your money. THE GAME -- The object of the game is to put down all of your cards without having to turn any over. (Thereby losing points equal to that of the card value.) The board is set up as so... ________ | |7 | | | | | | | | | | | | 7| | | |________| | |----------------------------------------------------------| | | | | | | | | |----------------------------------------------------------| | | | | | | | | |----------------------------------------------------------| | | | | | | | | ...now, the idea is to get the the cards to go in order, with the proper suit. The game starts with one seven card already on the board. If you have a six or an eight of the same suit then you can put it down. Or..if you have another seven of a different suit, then you can start another suit in another row. However, if you have neither of these when it comes around to your turn (the turn moves around clockwise for all the four characters) then you have to turn over a card. The point value of a turned over card is as follows: KING QUEEN JACK 10 9 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 ACE. (pretty obvious) HINTS & TIPS -- Remember when your trying to decide what card to put down, what suits to you have the highest valued cards in. GET RID OF THEM or you'll end up eating them big time! Also, keep in mind, until you put down your next card in a certain suit, no one who has a card higher than that (or lower than that, whatever direction your going) can go until you do, including yourself. BUT. If that card is the highest card of that suit that you have, you can get rid of it anytime, so hold onto it as long as possible so you fuck up all the other players who are waiting to get rid of any cards they can in that same suit. (The computer characters will do the same to you.) Keep in mind when your turning over cards, if you have a JACK, QUEEN and KING of the same suit and you decide to put down the JACK, then you've automatically doomed yourself to eating the other two cards cards that are higher than it. Ok, thats all I can think of, the rest you'll have to pick up on your own, good luck!
