If you are wondering why you need the Windows update,
it is because Mr tyrant, greedy Gates, did everything
he could to make Windows incompatible with DR DOS. These
updates fixed this problem. Later he did the same thing
with Windows 3.11 and Novell DOS and IBM OS/2 to make them
both incompatible with WINDOZE. 

Later, after Novell sold the rights to DR DOS to Caldera,
Caldera sued MS and it was settled out of court for huge
bucks. In the agreement that Caldera had with Novell when
they bought the DRI stuff from Novell, Novell was to receive
a portion of whatever Caldera got.

My advice is not to use WINDOZE 3.11 with this or any other
DR/Novell/Open/Caldera DOS. Also I would not use it with OS/2
Warp 3 and earlier versions of OS/2. Warp 4 may be okay,
however I would check it out thoroughly first before
installing WINDOZE 3.11

In my honest opinion, Mr Gates should be put on a spaceship
and sent to the nearest black hole along with all of his
buggy software!
