Distant Realms

This is not Shareware or Freeware.  We permit you to run this software
as a DEMO for 30 days on your system.  After such time, you must either
purchase an activation code, or remove the game from your system.
To purchase the game and receive an activation code please complete the
form included in REGISTER.TXT and mail it to us.  The current price to
register is $99 (US funds).

By installing this software on your system, you agree to comply with the
terms and conditions contained in the file LICENSE.TXT

INSTALLATION
------------

If you are reading this file then you must have unzipped the release
.zip file into a temporary directory which was empty prior to unzipping.
If this is not the case, please do the following now and then come back
to this file:

1) Create a new, empty directory  (MD C:\DR <enter))
2) Change to that directory (C: <enter> CD \DR <enter>)
3) Unzip the release file into that directory (PKUNZIP <path>\CCDDR.ZIP)
4) Return to reading this file (readme.txt)


Note that you must be running at least World Group 1.0.  The game has not  
been tested on any prior version of MajorBBS.


For a new installation, you can just type INSTALL from the directory in
which you unzipped the release.  This will copy all of the files into
your BBS directory as appropriate.

Please print the file REGISTER.TXT, fill it in, and submit it as described
in the file.

You should add Distant Realms to your menu tree.

You are now ready to modify your CNF options and start your BBS.  If you
received this as a DEMO program, just make sure that the activation code
is DEMO and then you are ready to go.  If you have purchased Distant Realms
enter your activation code in the Level 3 option.

Most of the display features of the game maybe changed by editing the
Level 6 text blocks.  You should also go through the Level 4 CNF options
and change the defaults to suit your system.
